The Swiss rider will not take part at Jerez, while Sam Lowes has been given the all-clear to race at the season finale

Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) will not race in the season-ending visit to the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto, Andalucia after being declared unfit. The #77 fractured the fifth metacarpal in his right hand while training ahead of Estoril and underwent surgery, with the aim of returning at Jerez. However, he has not been cleared to ride. Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) has been declared fit for the Pirelli Spanish Round after missing out on most of the Estoril action with a chest contusion.

Aegerter missed out on the Estoril Round as he recovered from the injury and wanted to end his time with the GRT Yamaha squad on a high but required a pre-round medical check in order to race in Spain. Following that check, the Swiss rider – who has two WorldSBK rostrums to his name – has been declared unfit, meaning his last round with the team came at Aragon in September.

On the other side, Lowes has been declared fit after sustaining a chest contusion ahead of the EICMA Estoril Round. The #14 competed in FP1, FP2 and FP3 in Portugal before being declared unfit but now, with more rest and recuperation ahead of Jerez, has been given the green light to race at the final round of the 2025 season.
